Animal life of the Eastern Wastes
by Mike Gilmore

The cougar or mountain lion can be found in rocky areas of the wastes. Although it will not hunt humans directly, like most wasteland animals it is feriously territorial and an oppurtunistic, taking it's prey where it can find it.

When observed from a far the cougar is a majestic and proud animal, up close a ferocius killer.

Although I have never seen the Wasteland Yeti for myself, aside from perhaps movements in the extreme highlands of the wastes.

I obtained this drawing from a drifter on his way to the northeasturn camps near the wreckage of New York City.

Although I find it rather biased by the obvious fear this man probably experienced it's the best I could come up with.
